XOOTUBE family

Industrial design for expressive architectural lighting.

XOOTUBE is a round linear luminaire that reinterprets the classic fluorescent tube as a contemporary architectural lighting element. With a slim tubular form and nearly 360° homogeneous light emission, it combines strong visual presence with uniform general illumination. Available with Static White, Tunable White and RGB light engines, XOOTUBE supports decorative and functional lighting concepts in foyers, offices, hospitality, retail and public interior spaces.

Key Features

Iconic light installations

Available with Static White, Tunable White and RGB light engines, XOOTUBE supports a wide spectrum of lighting concepts, from precise functional illumination to dynamic and decorative applications. This flexibility allows light to be adapted to visual comfort requirements, human‑centric scenarios or expressive colour accents within architectural interiors.

Round industrial design

XOOTUBE’s slim, round Ø 38 mm design enables expressive lighting compositions, from sculptural rings and rhythmic clusters to striking linear arrangements that shape interior spaces visually. On request, coloured aluminium end caps add an additional design accent, allowing decorative installations to be aligned with architectural concepts.

Standardized and flexible

XOOTUBE can be installed as a horizontal or vertical pendant as well as wall or surface‑mounted, enabling flexible use across different indoor settings. Available in standard lengths (800 mm, 1,050 mm, 1,300 mm, 1,550 mm), with its above 300° light emission, it supports decorative and general lighting applications with a consistent visual appearance.

APPLICATION SCENARIOS

XOOTUBE IP40 supports indoor architectural applications where a strong visual presence and clearly defined light arrangements are desired. The following application scenarios show how linear and sculptural light elements contribute to expressive lighting compositions while providing functional illumination for different indoor environments.

ACCENT LIGHTING

Psycho Bunny opened its fourth brick‑and‑mortar store and flagship location at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto, introducing a retail concept defined by a playful and unconventional brand identity. The compact ground‑floor space combines bold visual elements, curated product displays and a large LED video wall to create a distinctive shopping environment.

Accent lighting plays a key role in shaping the store’s atmosphere and guiding visual attention. XOOTUBE IP40 is used throughout the space as wall and ceiling‑mounted accent lighting, integrated into the architectural surfaces to frame circulation zones and highlight selected areas. Configured with RGB light engines, the linear elements introduce colour accents in pink and white, reinforcing the brand’s expressive character while remaining clearly integrated into the overall interior concept. The restrained round form allows the lighting to act as both a visual feature and a supporting element, enhancing the spatial rhythm without overpowering the retail layout.

In this project, XOOTUBE demonstrates how accent lighting can be used to translate brand identity into a clear and recognisable spatial experience.

TASK LIGHTING

During the World Economic Forum, the Scala Restaurant at Hotel Europe in Davos served as a central venue for presentations, meetings and events. The space was redesigned to support highly flexible use scenarios, combining restaurant operation with temporary event and conference functions.

Task lighting plays a central role in enabling this multifunctional use. XOOTUBE is applied as the primary lighting element, providing clear and adaptable illumination for dining areas, circulation zones and presentation settings. The dimmable round lighting elements support a wide range of lighting situations, from focused task lighting for meetings and presentations to more relaxed conditions for restaurant use. With tunable white light engines, the light can be adjusted between warm and cool tones, allowing the atmosphere to be adapted precisely to different functional requirements while maintaining a consistent visual appearance throughout the space.

In this context, XOOTUBE demonstrates how task lighting can support flexible indoor environments by combining functional clarity with adaptable light settings.

GENERAL LIGHTING

The Pepper Store is a converted 18th‑century East India Company spice warehouse located in the city of London, combining Grade II listed structures with later office extensions. The redesign aimed to respect the building’s historical character while creating a contemporary workplace environment. Reception areas designed by March and White bring together exposed brickwork, wooden floors, large windows and original concrete soffits to form a restrained industrial aesthetic.

General lighting is used to support this architectural expression and provide consistent ambient illumination throughout the space. XOOTUBE is integrated into the ceiling soffits, illuminating the recessed channels while providing uniform light for the main floor areas. Adapted in a slightly reduced length, the round lighting elements fit precisely within the existing structure and maintain a clean visual rhythm. Installed in a subtle zig‑zag arrangement, the luminaires contribute to a calm and balanced lighting atmosphere while remaining clearly readable as part of the ceiling design.

In this project, XOOTUBE demonstrates how general lighting can be integrated into historic architecture to deliver functional ambient light while reinforcing the spatial character of the interior.

ORIENTATION LIGHTING

The municipality of Asker has brought hotel services, a cultural hall, café and library together under one roof, creating a public building intended as a central point of orientation and interaction. The architectural concept aims to strengthen identity and accessibility, making it easy for visitors to navigate the building and relate to the surrounding town square.

Orientation lighting plays a key role in structuring movement and connecting the different levels of the building. Vertically suspended XOOTUBE luminaires form a continuous lighting element within the central core, creating a clear visual reference that guides visitors through the space. Configured with RGB light engines, the installation can be programmed with colour and dynamic scenes to support special events while maintaining its primary role as a vertical orientation marker. The repeated vertical elements establish visual continuity across floors and enhance spatial legibility without dominating the architecture.

In this project, XOOTUBE demonstrates how orientation lighting can support wayfinding, identity and spatial coherence within complex indoor environments.
