The XOOLUM IP67 family delivers high lighting performance in a compact architectural form for outdoor applications. Optical flexibility

XOOLUM IP67 features opal polyurethane encapsulated or reflector based wide beam and wall wash light distributions. These optical configurations ensure high project compatibility across diverse architectural requirements.

Precise 45° Adjustability

Selected versions of the XOOLUM IP67 family feature a precisely adjustable luminaire head with a 45° tilt angle. This adjustability enables targeted alignment of the light, allowing illumination to be fine‑tuned for accent, task or ambient lighting while maintaining a compact appearance.

Flexibility in Application

With a compact cross section of 24.5 mm × 36 mm or 29.8 mm, XOOLUM IP67 adapts to diverse applications. Whether mounted along façade edges, roof lines or freestanding elements, the slim geometry enables precise integration and defined linear illumination in outdoor environments.

Invisible cable management

The XOOLUM with its mounting profile across the whole luminaire length on the backside enables seamless surface mounting but also hides the luminaire cable over the complete length and let you choose where it resurfaces.

Colorful options

In addition to the optics, the choice of light engines is equally broad and can be selected according to specific project requirements. Static White, Tunable White and even RGB configurations are available, enabling both functional and expressive lighting concepts.

Robustness and protection

Engineered for harsh environments, XOOLUM IP67 features polyurethane encapsulation that offers strong resistance against water immersion, UV exposure, saltwater, and solvents. With proven IK10 impact protection, this makes it ideal for the use, even under challenging conditions.

CONTOUR LIGHTING 

177 Bothwell Street in Glasgow is one of Scotland’s largest smart buildings and a prominent example of contemporary commercial architecture. Designed as a highly flexible office environment, the building integrates lighting as an architectural tool, supporting both spatial definition and user comfort across its exterior and roofscape.

XOOLUM IP67 was used to define the building’s roof contour, tracing the geometry of the structure with continuous linear light. Integrated along the roof edge, the compact luminaire forms a clear, uninterrupted outline that reinforces the architectural form while remaining visually restrained. A defined beam angle was selected to ensure precise coverage of the contour, avoiding unwanted light spill into the surrounding environment and the night sky.

Lighting control is managed via a central system, allowing operation to be aligned with usage patterns and external conditions. The result is a clearly articulated building silhouette after dark, where linear light emphasises structure and scale while maintaining controlled, efficient outdoor illumination.

ACCENT LIGHTING 

The Mall of Scandinavia in Solna, Stockholm, is one of the largest shopping centres in the Nordic region, featuring expansive public areas and multi‑level spaces with double‑height shop fronts. The architectural concept required accent lighting that supports orientation and atmosphere while integrating seamlessly into the built environment.

XOOLUM IP67 was used to create linear accent lighting throughout selected areas, marking different levels and spatial zones with clearly defined lines of light. Integrated discreetly into architectural elements, the compact linear system provides controlled illumination with a restrained visual presence. RGB light engines enable colour‑based accents that respond to spatial functions and circulation, while defined optical configurations ensure consistent light distribution without glare.

By combining compact dimensions, precise optics and robust IP67 protection, XOOLUM IP67 allows accent lighting to become an integral part of the architectural language. The result is a clear, legible spatial structure, where light enhances orientation and atmosphere without overpowering the architecture.

ORIENTATION LIGHTING 

Nacka Forum is a major shopping mall and an important urban destination, where the main entrance plays a key role in guiding visitors safely and intuitively into the building. The architectural concept defined a clear vision for the lighting design, combining orientation, visual clarity and a strong architectural presence within a highly frequented public space.

XOOLUM IP67 was integrated to provide indirect orientation lighting along the entrance area, supporting wayfinding through calm, continuous illumination. The linear luminaires deliver uniform light distribution while remaining visually restrained, ensuring that circulation paths are clearly defined without introducing glare. In combination with vertical light elements, the indirect light provided by XOOLUM IP67 reinforces spatial legibility and creates a welcoming transition from exterior to interior.

The result is an entrance defined by clear orientation and architectural coherence, where indirect linear light guides movement and enhances the spatial experience while remaining seamlessly integrated into the overall design.

FAÇADE LIGHTING 

The Channel 9 office and studio building in Perth is defined by a distinctive folded façade that gives the structure depth and rhythm. The architectural concept required lighting to become part of the façade itself, enhancing its sculptural character while remaining discreet and precisely controlled.

XOOLUM IP67 was integrated from the rear of the façade elements to create a uniform wall‑washing effect across the folded surfaces. Fitted with reflector optics, the compact linear luminaires generate a controlled brightness gradient that accentuates the geometry and materiality of the façade without visible glare or light spill. The IP67‑rated construction ensures reliable performance in exposed outdoor conditions while allowing the luminaires to remain visually restrained within the architecture.

The result is a façade shaped by light rather than luminaires, where controlled linear illumination reinforces architectural depth and creates a clear, consistent night‑time identity for the building.

Mounting options

Pendant with slide

Pendant set silver for installations directly on the ceiling. One set includes one item of the
pendant set. Two meters wires are cutable on site.

Surface-mounted, fixed

Specially designed mounting profile for surface-mounting options.
Holes have to be drilled at site. Cables can be placed inside of the mounting profile. No additional mounting accessory is needed. Luminaire can be tilted in 45° angle to each side within the mounting profile.

No additional accessories are required for this mounting option.

Surface-mounted, adjustable

Tiltable mounting brackets allow the free aiming of the luminaire. The range is ca. -40° to +90°. The required amount of mounting accessories are included with the luminaire. The brackets are made out of stainless steel and are screwed to the back of the luminaire. Holes can be drilled where suitable.
