The VENUS IP67 family is a flexible linear lighting system designed for outdoor architectural applications requiring homogeneous, precisely controlled light. Polyurethane encapsulation ensures a perfectly uniform, dot‑free light surface while protecting the system against UV exposure and urban environmental influences. The miniaturized, bendable profile enables continuous light lines that follow architectural geometry with accuracy.

Key Features

Horizontal Bending Precision

With a cross‑section of 10 × 20.5 mm, VENUS SV allows horizontal bending for smooth integration along curved façades and architectural contours. Lengths up to 5 m maintain consistent visual continuity across larger installations.

Flexible, dot free line of light

Our custom opal polyurethane encapsulation leaves no visible dots and delivers exceptional homogeneity. Any geometric shape can be illuminated, weather its indoor or under harsher outdoor requirements in a customizable step size of 62.5 mm.

Vertical Bending Precision

With a compact cross‑section of 16 × 15 mm, VENUS TV is engineered for vertical bending and supports clear, continuous lines along organic architectural forms. Lengths up to 5 m enable precise alignment with structural geometry.

Reliable durability

With IP67 protection and a high‑grade polyurethane encapsulation, VENUS TV and SV provide long‑term resistance to UV exposure, solvents, saltwater, and urban pollutants. These properties ensure reliable performance in demanding exterior conditions.

Color your light

Both versions can be configured with Static White, Tunable White or RGB light engines. This flexibility in colour supports both functional illumination and expressive, dynamic colour accents in architectural outdoor applications.

Wire it your way

Multiple double isolated wiring and connector options allow VENUS TV and SV to adapt to varied installation requirements. Mounting profiles which hide the cabling to make the installation look clean also help reducing complexity and supporting fast, intuitive on‑site integration.

Facade Lighting

Located opposite Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences, El Saler Shopping Center spans more than 47,000 sqm and serves as a central destination for families throughout the year. Its architecture features soft, organic transitions between the building’s volumes and the landscaped outdoor areas, creating a welcoming atmosphere that blends naturally with its cultural surroundings.

In the renovation led by ALS Architectural Lighting Solutions, VENUS IP67 was selected to underline these organic forms and to integrate light discreetly into the exterior design language. The flexible, continuous light lines follow the curved edges of the façade and surrounding landscape features, ensuring that the building retains its characteristic flow even after sunset. Installed along the architectural contours, VENUS provides a uniform, uninterrupted glow that reinforces the shape of the structure without dominating it visually.

Through this concept, the shopping center gains a cohesive nighttime identity: soft, continuous light lines that highlight the architectural rhythm and make the outdoor areas an integral part of the overall visitor experience.

Orientation Lighting 

The Kaisantunneli tunnel is a newly opened 220-meter long public tunnel under the Helsinki railway station, facilitating the movement of thousands of city residents in the area. Destia Oy was the contractor for the project, and WSP Finland Oy was responsible for the building design. The lighting has high requirements due to the guidelines of the city's public outdoor space and the track area of the railway environment. WSP's lighting designer Heini Myllyoja says that the main goal of lighting design is to take into account the tunnel's accessibility and safety needs, as well as urban values and architecture.

In the curved middle part of the tunnel, the border of the roof was illuminated in order to create a fresh and bright look, which lightened the ceiling surface and created the feeling of natural light in the underground space. The flexible VENUS  Side View IP67 was chosen for this. Heini says that with the lighting of the curved part of the Kaisantunneli, pleasant and even lighting has been sought so that it brings a calm atmosphere similar to natural light. The VENUS Side View with opal diffuser illuminates the niche between the ceiling and wall and perfectly emphasises the beautiful curved shape of the tunnel thanks to its laterally flexible form. The luminaires are installed with long-lasting and corrosion-resistant stainless steel brackets. The color temperature of the light is a warm white 3000 kelvin shade.

Accent Lighting 

Peel Plaza is a sculpture and, at the same time, a publicly accessible urban terrace, consisting of a wooden decking whose parts appear to have been peeled off. Part of the decking, which also incorporates the existing trees, are six benches and tables. The peeled-off parts on which one can sit or lie down, form lively and spatial gestures on Weesperplein, evoking the idea of an oasis in the city.

To highlight these sculptural contours after dusk VENUS SV IP67 provides a perfectly homogeneous and dot‑free illuminated surface. Its compact geometry allows the luminaire to be embedded directly along the edges of the wooden structures, preserving the purity of the design while subtly defining the forms in low light. Thanks to its polyurethane encapsulation, VENUS SV IP67 delivers long‑term resistance to UV exposure, solvents and urban pollutants, ensuring stable appearance and performance in an outdoor public setting.

As a whole, Peel Plaza forms a work of art that invites physical interaction. By fusing functionality, sculptural forms, trees and greenery, a unique and inviting place is formed, which extends along Weesperplein. A public square, activated by its users, who come to rest or spend a moment together.

Accent Lighting 

For the new Berlin location of Fotografiska, the Swedish museum of contemporary photography, jack be nimble developed a lighting concept that supports the building’s atmospheric depth while respecting the historical fabric of the Tacheles. As the venue remains open late into the night, the lighting plays a central role in guiding visitors through the various social, culinary and exhibition spaces. To achieve a consistent mood throughout the different areas, jack be nimble selected linear luminaires from the VENUS IP67 family, whose homogeneous light quality creates a warm and inviting environment across the entire interior.

In the round bar, VENUS SV in 2200 K backlights the upper ring of the hanging shelves, while 2500 K versions softly illuminate the bottles from behind, giving the shelving a calm and refined glow. At the bar front, VENUS IQ White HD12 SV provides clean, balanced illumination that complements the architectural rhythm of the space. In the adjacent bar areas, VENUS IQ White highlights the circular arches integrated into the bottle racks and counter fronts, reinforcing the sculptural character of the furniture. Within the lounge, VENUS SV in 2200 K delivers a gentle grazing effect on the louvre walls behind the seating niches, adding depth and texture, while 2500 K uplighting on the upper shelving contributes an additional layer of warmth. Across all zones, the continuous and seamless appearance of the VENUS light lines creates a cohesive visual identity, supporting the intimate and contemplative atmosphere that defines Fotografiska Berlin.
