The ULTIMA family – efficient, small and sustainable

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

it is our great pleasure to introduce a new member of the ULTIMA family: ULTIMA-P. This minimal pendant luminaire, almost invisible in the room, expands the collection beyond the ULTIMA-S and ULTIMA-T variants.

The ULTIMA family focuses on efficient design that uses as little material as possible. We addressed the core issue designers and architects face when selecting a luminaire: smaller products mean less light, while robust products compromise on resources and design but are more efficient. Our drive was to combine the best of both worlds and develop the smallest and most efficient luminaire for the market.

With a high degree of variability and minimalist compactness, the ULTIMA family allows new design freedom in architectural lighting. By using innovative nano-optics, the luminaire size could be reduced to a cross-section of 10 x 13 mm while imroving lighting effects. From spotlight to batwing, a total of seven precise light distributions with maximum color consistency are available. The glare control (up to UGR < 13) means that the light source remains hidden.

ULTIMA-P (Pendant)
The discrete and minimalist pendant luminaire is suitable for a wide range of task lighting applications, but also convinces as an almost invisible design luminaire. The elegant brown leather loops perfectly complement the luminaire's material mix of extruded and anodized aluminium profile, embedded in a stainless steel housing available in various colors. ULTIMA-P is ideal above counters in entrance areas, hotel receptions, bars, but also above work desks as well as tables in meeting rooms.

Example: Lighting for receptions
The reception desk is the heart of the reception area and requires a well thought-out lighting concept. It ensures that the faces of people interacting across the counter are bathed in uniform light. ULTIMA-P with warm white light color and high color rendering properties helps to make faces appear natural and friendly. At the same time, demanding visual tasks such as reading, writing and computer screen work can be performed on and behind the counter.

ULTIMA-S (Stand-alone)
The ULTIMA-S is a ground-breaking step for the integration of lighting into architecture. With its minimalist design and minimal cross-section of only 10 x 13 mm, it blends into any building structure and thus disappears from view. Ideal for integration on grid ceilings or as surface mounting, but also for furniture integration, showcase or display lighting.

Example: Lighting for canteens
The small ULTIMA-S fits invisibly between the ceiling slats covered in felt. Some of the luminaires were specifically placed above the individual bistro tables, the rest above the aisles, providing excellent illumination thanks to innovative nanotechnology in minimal size and the selection of specific optics. The complete space of 140 sqm is illuminated with only 36 luminaires with lengths between 0.5m and 1m, reaching 500 lux on the tables and 250 lux on the floor.

ULTIMA-T (Track)
ULTIMA-T offers a complete track system for easy integration into architectural structures. Up to 10 m of light lines are possible with only one feeder. The system allows for a variety of surface-mounted ceiling installations, with or without mounting frames. The luminaire system is ideal for offices, galleries, museums and generally for rooms where different types of lighting are required within specific areas. The pendant track variant will complement the ULTIMA-T series in autumn.

Example: Lighting for museums
In museum lighting, a great many design requirements have to be combined in one lighting concept. The ULTIMA-T can meet these demands with the linear surface-mounted track system. With a choice of 7 different optics, each object can be optimally staged and the general lighting of the room can be achieved at the same time. For changing exhibitions, the luminaires can be easily moved or exchanged within the track.
