The LUMINARIS LED tape family is now available!

We are pleased to announce the official release of our new tape family: LUMINARIS.

LUMINARIS is composed of two sub-families which have been carefully design to address new applications and offer cost efficient solutions LED light source.

The naming inspiration for this tape family delivers an emotionally appealing short film that tells a love story about light: LUMINARIS. The idea behind this product family was to create flexible LEDs as a component only for the OEM business.

LUMINARIS XHAGA - has been specifically designed to be an optimal replacement to rigid printed circuit boards (PCB) based light sources. It can be implemented in small or medium size third party luminaires thanks to appropriate LED pitches of 10 mm (0,39") or 20 mm (0,79"), and a narrow width of 12 mm (0,47"). In comparison to the standardized ZHAGA, the LUMINARIS XHAGA is designed much narrower and with a step length of 140mm (5,51”) only half as long. This allows a much more flexible design. An easy and reliable electrical connection is ensured thanks to poke-in connectors placed every 280 mm (11"). Only one electrical connection is required for the entire line and can be performed at any poke-in connector position.

It delivers up to 6,400 lm/m (1,950 lm/ft) with a CRI up to 95. In combination with ceramic LED packages a thermal resistivity of 22.5 K/W is achieved for optimal heat dissipation (junction to installation surface) which guarantees a lifetime of > 60,000 hrs. This is summarized under the protected term of LED Linear ™ Tj-Away® technology.

LUMINARIS ECO - is a flexible 24V LED tape family offering a cost-effective solution. It integrates new developed 3528 LED packages which are more economical compared to existing 3528 packages and which deliver up to 2,200 lm/m (670 lm/ft). It is available with 12 mm (0,47") LED pitch for confined lighting configuration or 23 mm (0,91") for indirect view. It offers an easy solder-free connection thanks to click-on connectors.

It is an ideal cost-effective solution for cove lighting and accent lighting with direct view on the light source in small spaces. A thermal resistivity of 32 K/W is achieved for a good heat dissipation (junction to installation surface) which guarantees a lifetime of > 60,000 hrs L80/B10. Good color rendition with a CRI of 85 ensuring a good light quality. Consistent light intensity all along the strip length is obtained thanks to active current regulation operated by dedicated integrated circuits (ICs) on each step.
