Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Are you looking for the ideal lighting solution that combines general, accent and orientation lighting in outdoor areas? Then we would like to inspire you with exceptional reference projects and the ideal choice of luminaire.
Thanks to its high light output ratio, XOOLUM™ IP67 is the ideal solution for sophisticated, energy-saving lighting. At the same time, it is also an exceptionally efficient design luminaire that impresses with its enormous modularity and user-friendliness. Due to its swivelling head, a high degree of multifunctionality is achieved.
The advantages at a glance:
XOOLUM™ IP67
Accent lighting - Orientation / Boat pier
London's longest pier, Royal Wharf, features a 162 sqm viewing platform with unrivalled views of the Thames, offering residents of the Royal Docks, visitors to ExCel London and travellers using London City Airport a quick transport option to and from central London.
The lighting designers chose from the XOOLUM™ IP67 and VENUS IP67 LED Linear™ luminaire families for the handrail and benches to bring a warm atmosphere to the pier and provide pedestrians with perfect orientation light and a safe environment.
Contour lighting / Façade
Bolte Tower 10 (Melbourne, Australia) is located on the westernmost stretch of land along the Yarra River. This 100 m high building is the 8th Mirvac high-rise along the south bank and their first residential tower for the Bolte Precinct. Three rows of XOOLUM™ R LD15 IP67 with 25° reflector optics illuminate the architecture at the top of the building to create a crown of light. The XOOLUMs shine at a narrow angle to prevent light pollution of the environment.
Accent lighting / Car park
The Mall of Scandinavia is a shopping centre in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden. It is the second largest shopping centre in the Nordic countries with 224 shops, many of which have double height shop fronts up to 8 m high.
The lighting of the car park was designed by AF Lighting to be very colorful with the XOOLUM™ RGB IP67. Different colors mark the different parking decks and thus facilitate orientation.
Wall washing / Power Station
The task of re-lighting the Schwerin South Power Station was a challenge from various aspects. The lighting had to be economical and formally appealing and respect the flora and fauna in the surrounding area.
In order to reduce the impact on local residents, but also on insects and birds, the luminaires were arranged in such a way that they do not illuminate the sky, but rather specifically only the areas that are to be illuminated. The small design of the XOOLUM™ IP67 makes it possible to precisely direct the light and install the luminaires.
The façade of the power plant, which is divided by an external steel construction, was given wide-area lighting. The striking construction is emphasised in the form of a silhouette and thus appears as a geometric element in front of the building. The XOOLUM™ IP67 with 25° reflector optic was used here.
Accent Lighting / Airport Access
The Gateway Western Australia projects are a series of highways and flyovers in the Perth Airport region. These roads were created to improve the safety and efficiency of one of the most important transport hubs in Western Australia. The XOOLUM™ IP67 was selected for its robust design, precision workmanship and high efficiency in electrical and optical performance. The ease of installation of this product made it possible to use it to illuminate the parapet and adjacent walls. The luminaire is also IK10 and IP67 protected against water, salt water, solvents and UV radiation thanks to a polyurethane encapsulation.
Task lighting / Foyer
This post-modern architectural building is an imposing feature on the Sydney skyline and is located right in the heart of Sydney's business district. Built on the corner of George and Bridge Streets, it rises 200 m into the sky.
The mixed-use building houses offices as well as food, retail and fitness space. The spacious and bright entrance area was equipped with linear lighting solutions. XOOLUM™ HYDRA HD6 IP67 in W835 was installed at the interface between floor and wall. The IK10-tested luminaire emits absolutely homogeneous and point-free light thanks to its opal light emission surface. The common areas and corridors are thus pleasantly and uniformly illuminated. The lighting sets appealing accents and underlines the upscale furnishings; at the same time, it also facilitates orientation in the building.
Accent lighting / Façade with indirect lighting
Channel 9's head office is located in Perth, Western Australia. The office and studio was designed by Cox Howlett and Bailey Woodland Architects. All areas of the site are linked by interconnecting pathways, making the design reminiscent of a campus. The façade is particularly outstanding, with lighting design by BEST Consultants. The façade has a folded appearance, which is illuminated from the rear with the narrow XOOLUM™ luminaire. The chosen reflector optic with wallwashing characteristics creates an appealing brightness gradient. The luminaire is also IP67 protected and therefore suitable for outdoor use.
