Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
in northern latitudes, winter is slowly making its appearance and warm lighting moods can be observed in residential and office buildings. Since we spend a lot of time indoors during the dark and cold season, it is even more important to properly illuminate the living and working spaces.
The XOOLUM™ family of luminaires offers many advantages and, in the linear category, is a compact yet powerful solution for general lighting. XOOLUM™ is an exceptionally efficient design luminaire that impresses with its enormous modularity and user-friendliness. Thanks to its tiltable head, a high degree of multifunctionality is achieved. The luminaire family has been developed with a focus on the areas of general and commercial lighting and, thanks to its high efficiency, is the ideal solution for achieving sophisticated, energy-saving lighting. Whether indoors or outdoors, the use of seven specially developed optics and light-intensive LED tapes with high color rendering makes the XOOLUM™ suitable for almost any lighting task.
The advantages of the XOOLUM™ luminaire family at a glance:
Wall lighting with XOOLUM™ R(eflector) IP67 (surface mounted)
Trusco Nakayama Kyoto Kaguraoka Rengetusou (Japan) was built for the employees of the companies of Trusco Nakayama Corporation. Characteristic of this unusual building is the construction of the house, which is largely made of wood and stone walls. The XOOLUM™ reflector luminaire is installed both in the outdoor area and in the pool area. It emphasizes the structure of the mighty stone walls and additionally highlights the diversity of the different materials used.
Office lighting with XOOLUM™ R(eflector) IP20 (pendant solution)
Bringsol's corporate headquarters in Morbegno, Italy, was realized entirely with luminaires from the XOOLUM™ family. It was a great pleasure for the lighting designer to coordinate his project with the architects' ideas. XOOLUM™ R was used as task lighting, while diffuse light was used for passageways.
The luminaire is convincing in this area of application thanks to high efficiency, optics with low glare and at the same time compact design as a pendant luminaire. The appealing form factor of 25.4 mm x 31 mm ensures unobtrusive integration into the architectural concept.
Ceiling lighting with XOOLUM™ IP40 (surface mounted)
The church of St. Romain in Ayent, Valais, is a historical monument, built in the 19th century and inaugurated in 1867. The even older bell tower is the only remnant of the original building, built in 1514. For the 150th anniversary, restorations and modernizations have been undertaken.
The aim of the lighting here is to enrich the sacred aspects of the use, highlighting the significant aspects of the building and its historical and social value. For this purpose, the imposing vault ceiling was highlighted by linear lighting with XOOLUM™ HYDRA HD36 and HD25 from LED Linear™.
Store lighting with XOOLUM™ reflector and wall wash (pendant solution)
LABEL VIE is a new organic store with an area of 832 m² in Roncq, France. The building is a former automobile garage that was lit by fluorescent lamps until a few months ago. When the building was converted into a grocery store, the existing lighting was replaced with luminaires from the XOOLUM™ family - the narrow luminaires illuminate the bakery, meat counter, fruit and vegetable areas.
The architect partner SBAI worked hard to achieve the optimal quality of light and selected our products based on their low consumption, technologies and durability.
Light for educational institutions with XOOLUM™ IP40 (surface mounted)
The Lycée Public Maritime Florence Arthaud (France) is a vocational school for maritime education in all trades of the sea in Saint Malo. In the completely new building complex, a lot of attention was paid to ecology and sustainability, so the lighting was realized with efficient LED luminaires.
Linear lighting solutions from LED Linear™ were used in the corridors, stairwells and student lounges. The XOOLUM™ HYDRA HD15 W840 with opal cover was used, which provides high luminance levels and a pleasantly homogeneous light. The installation is also appealing from a decorative point of view, as the luminaires were integrated into the ceilings in such a way that they do not protrude. This creates a harmonious image with linear accents.
New member of the XOOLUM™ family: XOOLUM™ Opal Continuous
The Thames Tower in London is impressive as you enter through its three-meter revolving doors into the light-filled reception area. The double-height entrance hall was designed as a collaborative workspace, providing space for reception and concierge services. A combination of concrete tile and bamboo panels on the walls are complemented by custom oak beam reception desks connected by blackened steel brackets. The lighting design unobtrusively underscores this design language.
In the reception area, XOOLUM™ Opal Continuous was installed to illuminate the wood panelling, providing uninterrupted, dot-free lines of light up to 15 meters long. Behind the bamboo panel is an additional XOOLINE™ LD15, which casts a grazing light on the wall below and accentuates the concrete tiles. Both luminaires were selected in a warm light color of 3,000 K to create a harmonious overall appearance in interaction with the wood panelling.
