Prestigious honor for the flexible LED design light line VENUS True Color Optics. 

The entire LED Linear™ team is proud to have convinced the international expert jury of the German Design Award. With the ‘Winner’ award in the ‘Lighting’ category, our latest innovation VENUS True Color Optics was honored for its outstanding and exemplary design quality.

Because this is where the impossible meets the possible: A new addition to the VENUS True Color luminaire family is the Optics version, which integrates an innovative, flexible linear lens. VENUS’ linear lens optics allow precise control of its light distribution while also maximizing its lumen output to provide crisp and uniform grazing. This guarantees continuous and uniform light distribution up to 7 m high. The optics prevent unwanted scallop effects, often seen with traditional TIR lenses. The luminaire has been designed to illuminate organic, seamless and unique architecture.

The German Design Awards are the premium prize of the German Design Council. With its global scope and international appeal, it is one of the most prestigious awards in the design landscape across all industries. Since 2012, the German Design Awards have been identifying key design trends, presenting them to a broad public and honoring them. Extraordinary submissions in product design, communications design and architecture are selected each year.

The German Design Award is decided by an independent international jury of experts. It is made up of representatives from industry, universities and design. Their judgement is invaluable - anyone who convinces this jury demonstrates expertise in design innovation and a strong focus on the demands of customers and the market.
