As part of the complete redesign of two Louis Vuitton retail spaces at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris, the façade was reconstructed in 2024. A key element of the new design is a structured surface with a continuous 3D pattern installed along the perimeter walls.
To realize the complex framing and structure, the German manufacturer MetalVision was commissioned. The lighting concept was developed by the Paris-based lighting design studio Ponctuelle. The goal was to achieve homogeneous retrolighting of the façade element, without visible interruptions or hotspots.
The chosen solution was XOOLINE™ IP40 with a 10° beam angle, installed in extremely limited space above and below the structure. The tight beam enabled precise and smooth illumination of the surface, delivering consistent results across the entire installation.
